This is clever. :) Anyone remember the advertising campaign for that film AI which had a ring of various fictional websites forming a fictional backdrop for the world the movie was set in? No, thought not. But here's something similar that may intrest you.

Take at look at the site. Notice anything.. like the shape of the logo? The link to Orbis Lab's with their suspiciously familiar new weapon they're prototyping? The familiar aliens in the grainy videos? The name of the scientist? The Oakley glasses that could be a visor in it's infancy?

Nintendo are being very clever methinks. Very clever indeed.

*laughs*

Not overly sure what the Area 51 site has to do with the price of fish but those "I love" websites crack me up.

That's it Nintendo, you challenge Halo2.

I much prefer it to big advertising, it's far more subtle and entertaining. You get to work it out for yourself. And it's still not that common. Yes, Datadyne is a good example, and Halo 2's I Love Bees, which Nintendo actually pokes fun at: ILoveKnees.com, ILoveBeams.com, ILoveSkis.com and ILoveKeys.com.

Clever when the Perfect Dark "Datadyne and CI" sites were made, but nowadays it's pretty standard for most big releases.
