What game do you think has the best level design on a PS1/PS2?

Mine would have to be Prince of Persia out of all of the games i've played. I think it's basically because i'm really interested in Egypt and I love the Pyramids and stuff. It's also because there was so much to do on each level, you could do loads of different things like swing and ropes, crawl under cracks, walk along walls, hang off bars etc etc. There was alot to do, and although the fighting moves were a bit repetitive the level designs still kept me interested and made me want to progress to the next level.

What is yours?

Miami, Las Vegas and San Francisco are "small"? These are a few of the cities the GTA series has based their games around (though obviously with slightly altered names) and I don't think they are small.

Also, whilst Miami is connected, it is surrounded by a lot of water. The Miami beach area is virtually an island in fact. However, as pointed out, the Western side of Miami should be connected to the main land. Still, since this is already a "fictional" city, I'd rather have water as a reason not to pass than a whole series of mysteriously blocked bridges!

Cities...maybe major for the island but hardly big enough to be major for any mainland city.

Islands? Of course.

Major cities stuck out in the middle of the ocean? Don't think so.

Yeh, Chr1s is right, they should have a few roads that allow you to see another city in the background just to make it look more realistic if you get me.

I'd love to see Rockstar set the next GTA in Japan, i've always wanted to go there but my Parents dont want to go so having a free roaming game based in Japan would be quite interesting.

I think they definately need to set the next GTA somewhere far east, im sick of the American locations now...and they've already done the most interesting parts of America so why not do a different country for a change.

I would like to see Disney Land on GTA though, that'd be a laugh, killing Mickey Mouse. mwhahaha!

I never liked the fact that the islands are by themselves just sitting in the middle of the sea. Liberty City did appear to be connected to what I'd imagine is supposed to be the rest of America, but Vice City was all by itself in middle of nowhere with no bridges or any hint of the mainland. The same went for San Andreas.

I wouldn't mind if you could at least see some land even if you can't get to it. It would at least bring some realism into it.

To be honest, I was never impressed by mysterious impassable barriers on bridges which the GTA series always seemed to use. If they find a better way round it, then sure.
