I've only done about 85 hours on disgaea but I find it an excellent game to load up if I'm only playing for an hour. That way I can go through 10 levels of an item and boost everyones stats. Never played a game like it before but must say I'm loving it.
You'll have to do another topic when the new game is released otherwise I'll forget :)

last i checked my Laharl was around the 135,000 level mark

Yea it's one of those where you just power level up in a big chunk for a week and then go off again playing other games, then come back and repeat

I did indeed ... although I haven't played it for a while. It's one of those games you have to stick with for a few weeks at a time, and I had loads of other games going unplayed.
I think I might save it until I'm at uni next year, so I'll have something to do for a few months when i can't afford any new games.

well from the massive amount of replies i got (:-D) i can see this is going to be a massive seller. Hmmm and people wonder why some manufacturers don't bother bringing out some great games over to these shores
