Meh, another Gameboy, what is the point of it all! Still the same terrible refective backscreen, still the same tacky sound and still the same two buttons! You'd think they could at least have A, B, X and Y... like a SNES pad!

Okay so there are shoulder buttons but they won't do very much, and they don't have the same potential as two extra front-face buttons!

The games will be the same, okay so Tony Hawks PS2 looks good but there will still be those tacky side-scrollers that just go on, and on, and on!

The GBA won't do very much more that the GBC, if you already have a GBC forget the GBA, it is just a waste of time... advanced my a**e! Just another waste of £80?!

You know what we mean. Nintendo are releasing all of their Nes mario's and Snes Marios one at a time for £30 each when they could just as easily give us the lot on one £30 compilation.

Sure, the GBA will have lots of neat things but it's clear that Nintendo are putting most of their competitive efforts on the Gamecube instead of the handheld because the GBA is a sure hit and it doesn't have to compete against the likes of the PS2 and the Xbox.

1-It is a big step from 8bit in a handheld to 32bit in a handheld.

2-It is a decent price for a new console on the market...about 5-10 pounds more expensive than the GBC was when it first came out.

3-It has transparency and basic 3-D effects.

4-It hooks up to the GC.

5-It plays older GBC games as well.

6-I am going to get one!

The GBA is a chance for nintendo to update its handheld technology for the next generation of gaming, so this move is necessary.

the reson for GBA is so that ninteno can screw some more money out of everyone. people think that because they have put the game boy colour on its side and given it some extra games it is the best game console on the planet! to be honest i'm happy with my old grey game boy.

Although i do have to yield on the point you made about the 4 buttons being better, because they would be great for playing street fighter. HADDOKEN.

The point of the GBA is the fact that it's a PORTABLE SNES. The SNES was undoubtedly my favourite console and the fact that it's now in a protable version...

Pity I can't afford one really isn't it! Still, I'm holding out for the GameCube :-D
