$400 and it will cost them $494 to make each console. :S

Well, do you know if it will be possible for the 360 to do it?
Maybe because of its removable hardrive?
I only ask as i'm wondering whether to buy one, and to be able to play PC games on it as well would be a great offer to intice(sp?) me to get it
It probably could, given the hardware inside it, but as it is, it can't.
Does any one know if this is true?

Nor in what fashion.
Even taking just the 'top' titles, some may work as they are, others may not.
From what I've heard, anywhere between 'some' and 'many' may need re-compiling to work on the PowerPC CPU. At the very least, this will surely require the return of the original disc for a replacement. It'll work, but it's not ideal, and it's not really 'compatible' is it?

I really cannot see myself choosing any of this current generation titles over some of the next ones. Not much of an issue for me.
That's probably more of an issue/problem than controller design!
