Why is "X" considered so 'bad', and 'out there' or whatever? This has always puzzled me.
Sure, it takes the stresses in words such as 'explosion' and 'exciting', and therefore gives that sort of dangerous and exciting feel required in those words.
But it's also the stressed letter in "excrement", which I'm sure you'll agree, is less exciting, and rather smelly.
Hmmm...discuss.

X is so erotic. When I think of X, I think of kisses, sex and my cat, Max.
But Max isn't erotic, so that's annoying. It's the sexy letter. In my head, anyway. But it probably wouldn't be a sexy letter if there was no such thing as XXX..

Yeah, sort of.
Aye but that's how it started. It just happened that the only films that fall into an "unrated" category happen to be porn films or violent films. In the UK we don't have an "X" rating, it's just "unrated" still, so it's just an American thing, where they made up a new rating for films that were too graphic for any of their previous ratings.
