Does ANYONE know where I can get a decent USB headset for the PC without taking out a bloody mortgage?!

They're all £20!

I don't mind spending money on things that matter... but a headset?! People charge £25-odd on eBay, and even they're reconditioned.

Bloody rip-off.

All I want in a nice, well built one.. not necessarily flashy or hip... just one that works and is USB.

I need it for Battlefield, you see.

Gotta get my rear speakers connected again.

It already sounds crazy in 3.1!

Noisy mostly, explosion there bullet flying past me there, helicopter crashing behind me, it's like Harlow on a weekend in game form.

It is lovely and it helps when you’re really not too sure if there is a guy walking around your tank with c4.

The first one is a Jack connection:

I'd hazard a guess that the cheapo one is Jacked too.

Ordered myself a Logitech Premium Headset 350. Was actually cheaper than the 300 I was initially looking for.

eBay is awful for them at the moment. This company called 'Just Deals' charges full price for Refurbished products, then charges £8-10 for 10+ working day delivery!

No thanks.

USB just goes straight into the USB port, no fiddling with headphone and speaker jacks on the soundcard. It's a bit of a bas when half the headset cable is used up trailing round the back of the PC.

I use this one:

Excellent piece of kit, with it's own DSP allowing you to configure windows to run x through your speakers and y through your headset. Highly reccomend it especially for BF2 where USB is essential

Me just wants a USB mic to yell 'GIVE ME FECKING AMMO' i have 5.1 speakers so a headset is pointless, but a mic would be nice for BF2.
