Hmmmmmmmm

Got it cheaper then everyone probably. First impressions are 'Meh'.

Loved GTA 3, loved Vice City but this one isn't getting off to a very good start.

Played it for about an hour and a bit this morning and am about to go back on it to see if I can get into it more. I was starting to before I left.

The thing ruining this game so far? The rubbish rubbish visuals in the more built up areas. No need to sound like a GRAPHICS OVER GAMEPLAY guy but I just found it quite unplayable with the sub-par graphics. This massive city and they try and plonk it all on the PS2 capabilities. In the more built up areas I felt I was playing a early PS2, late PS1 game. I think it may of been the time of day in-game actually.

I remember palying Vice City for the first time and thinking, yeah this looks good. But with this it's like, ummmmmm this is making this game very confusing.

However, I did venture out into the countryside and was met with some good visuals there which wer emore relaxing on the eye and easier to take in. Stuff wasn't so crammed in everywhere. Some nice weather effects in places. I remember walking up a hillside and seeing the trees, the trees looked good. I like trees. The whole feeling of escaping the town and sitting on a tractor going through the hills was great. A fresh feeling. Man, I sound like some Harvest Moon playing hippy.

So with this graphics thing...does anyone know what I'm saying?

I agree about the graphics, I'd go as far to say that in a lot of cases they aint as good/clean as previous GTA's on PS2, it's quite jaggy in places and at times the Framerate is a joke.

Heh, I just created a topic on the same thing actually.

I know you what you mean, I knew they'd be nothing special, what with the size of the game and all, but these graphics are worser than GTA 3's.

It also looks pretty crappy when it rains too.

Oh and anyone know how you bet in the betting shop? I went into one and there was no marker of any sort to indicate how or where to bet.
