I already have the regular PS2 (The 30000scph model) , and I had a disc read error 3 times ever since I bouhjt it in 2002, but now it's working fine, so do I need the new one ? Size doesn't concern me. If getting it would mean not having disc read errors anymore,and fixing the DVD compatibility problem, then I should, but does anyone have any idea aboput that ? Did Sony announce anything about fixing disc read errors , or the DVD compatibility ?

If you mean the GAME deal, then no.
Football games and another genre (I forget which - possibly racing) are specifically excluded from the offer.

Go to gamestation, they will give you more for the games and the console. I'm gonna go on saturaday and trade it.

I would go to Gamestation instead of GAME (evil gits)
GS give you £45 for your old PS2, and that's without giving them games. So you just have to pay the extra £55, and you're getting a game with that.

If you go to GAME, you can trade in your old PS2 and 2 games and pay just £50 (I think) for the new model.
