nah, im a bit short of cash so i have to get the cheap one :( and im going to have to buy a Scart splitter http://specialreserve.co.uk/SCART-Splitter-Box--_9805_r.html because i need room for my xbox and gamecube.
Get Sky, or if you've already got it then get another box for £99 or whatever it is. The extra cost is most definitely worth it if you intend to get a lot of use out of it.

Not bad but you may want one with audio out (so you can hook it upto a hi-fi).
Also, make sure your Tv license is up-to-date. When I brought mybox from curreys I got a letter asking to return this slip stating if I had a Tv license at my address. A bit of an under-hand tactic by the BBC.

Hmm. My friend and I both have indoor ariels. I get all the freeview channels with a booster and he gets around half without.

I have to agree. No more snowy stuff (which i'm sure can't be very good for your eyes). The only thing is that if you do have a weak signal you get a abstract eray of lines. Freeview is worth it if you get a decent box for around £40 but it's worse in some ways than cable due to the repeats (and they are a lot). E4, ITV 2, BBC3, Men and motors and the hits are some of the better channels but the good thing about freeview is that it's getting better allthe time (ie: the recent launch of E4 and ITV interactive which is coming this summer).
It's nice to have if only for a perfect picture all the time.
That's about it, as far as I know.
