I think Half-Life will be waay better than doom 3. First of all there is more open space to roam about, not like Doom where you run around in a building that looks exactly the same everywhere and get frights the whole time. Second of all u're able to drive vehicles and stuff, where in Doom u run around in a building that looks exactly the same everywhere getting frights. So overall Half-Life 2 is gonna be the best game on this planet!!!! So please stop stealing the source codes so we can play the game!!

Goatboy proved his un-l33tness...

Och well.

Yeah, I'm a teen... Doubt I'm a geek... Don't look at "dogporn". Bit of a weird idea that one - but hey, you're Goatboy! What should I expect?... Don't have spots, and I'm not a virgin, shockingly enough.

Just because I read MegaTokyo hardly makes me a geek.

Anyhoo, you're on an online games forum, which just goes to show how cool you are.

Also, I preffered it when you were less of a fool. And when Edgy was around. Ah well, can't help genes, eh?

I was going to pick up on that too, everyone knows it's spelt pwn. Tch.

I did get tired of the constant spawning of enemies in Doom 3, provoking a few annoying instances where, having just about scrapped through a particular hairy bit of the game, fighting off huge waves of snarling beasties, I get to health station, collect some armour and ammo then.... Get jumped by yet another creature who kindly takes all of the health, armour and ammo I've just spent the last half an hour trying to get.

But I stuck with it, because it was a fun, perhaps forgettable ride through some great level design (minus the endless corridors of piping) together with a decent story and some great graphics. I was never expecting the world from Doom 3, so I didn't find it disappointing as some people did.

p0wn?
You teen geek. Go use some clearasil, stop looking at dogporn and let it dawn slowly that amusing internet spelling marks you worse than the uneasy stench of virginity that hangs in a fug

To be honest, I was in disbelief that people were putting Doom 3 above Far Cry.

Far Cry was such a wonderful, wonderful game. I didn't get bored with it once.

I got a bit bored with Doom 3 to be honest. It looks fantastic and it's intially a thrill, but after a few hours of "Another empty room...I wonder if something's gonna spawn at me from behind as well? Shot it, next empty room" left me thinking "Meh..."
Haven't played it for a month or so and haven't had the urge to complete it yet.

Unlike Far Cry, which for me is still the game of 2004.

It's odd that non of the next gen GTA games have come with a full online multiplayerr mode when GTA 1 & 2 did on PC years ago. Perhaps Rockstar are saving it for their next GTA game, seeing as there isn't mush else to go with the series now.

Yeah, but I'm sure it's possible to mod a true multiplayer from the feature.

I'm no expert at mods and stuff, but I reckon they could do it. Vice City was made multiplayer even though there was nothing to do with multiplayer written into the code.

There's some clever geeks out there :D

Doesn't the two player mode force both players to stick to the same area? I.e. single screen with no split? That was damn annoying on Amiga Alien Breed and even arcade Gauntlet.
