After seeing Star Wars III, I decided to set out to research current technology and the possibility of construvting a real, working lightsaber!

I dont expect to complete it in the next few yearsm but its a fun project nonetheless.

Anyone know of any good websites, any current technology, or any ideas of your own about how this amazxingly cool thing could be acheived?

I know that if you get about 20 blue laser pens, and shine them on one spot you'll burn things. And you can do it with green too, but not aswell. Not red though.
There's a start.
Maybe get a graviton particle array to give the beam its length. That would also cause the light to become more intense, so it'll cut through things.

Simple enough really. Graviton particle array, ebay it.

Oh right, I gets yee.
At the core.

If you watch the video of those replica ones ... they've got the colours all wrong anyway. The blue's far too dark.
