It starts off exactly the same as the old one, were Aries is in Midgar and if zooms out, to show the Mako reactor and the whole of Midgar...Then the Final Fantasy VII logo pops up. It zooms into the railway and shows cloud jumping off the train onto the platform...It cuts off before Barret and Avalanche would have came into the scene.
If that is next-gen graphics and gameplay, count me in. I really am glad i live in this century..Seeing the best video games evolve into the most gorgeous things on the planet.
Most people on this forum know i love Final Fantasy, and that's why i posted this message in the 'General Chat'. Just so more people can get an idea of what the Final Fantasy VII remake will be like. Thanks for reading, i hope this will inspire some of you to go and download the Trailer and enjoy it as much as i have.
Having just found out more about this news, i was told this:
'The 'Technical Demo' does not mean that a Remake of Final Fantasy VII will be made for the PS3'
I don't know what to make of this, but Square-Enix might not want us to think it's coming out, and then they will surprise us and bring it out for all the Final Fantasy fans. Thats what i hope...Maybe, it really was just a bit of eye candy, and to show what type of graphics the PS3 can produce...
i'm not convinced they're considering remaking it though. probably just generating some buzz for the advent children release. it does look sweet though.
However....
With sneaky trailers of Final Fantasy 7 on the PS3 and Final Fantasy : Advent Children around the corner,
Final Fantasy: Dirge Of Cerberus, the video game sequel looks absolutely ugly.
It is a 'Shoot em up RPG' and quite frankly, SqaureSoft made Final Fantasy to be a deeply involving storyline, without the shoot em up aspect. I think it bears nothing to the FF7 name...It focuses on some mad character, not Cloud, which is kind of odd. If anyone has seen this FF:DOC, please tell me your views on it.
It seems Square-Enix know many people love Final Fantasy 7 the best out of the series and want to get a sequel, but aren't sure how to do it... I think just remaking the game, then a direct sequel, focusing on a reunion with cloud and co., with Jenova reproducing Sephiroth again.
I don't want nothing too knew...A few new summons and new magic skills, as well as old favorites such as Ultima...I think they should drop the pathetic Dresspheres and the fighting using a summon should be the same as it always has been...Summon it...Does attack..Then goes. Re-use it later. Not all this, your Aeon has HP, and you battle it like a character.

ok that comment was just plain crap, you know them like the back of your hand, not your back.
I was hardly blown away.
And I seriously doubt they'll remake FFVII - hope, in fact. You can't really improve upon perfection.
I like what they're doing now, though - expanding the quality FFVII world in time and space. Advent Children will totally rock, I have no doubts - not so sure about the games, Square never have been much good outside of RPGs, but again it'll be good to get some more depth to the story.
> Mad character? Vincent utterly owned in FF7.
just forgot his name, thats why i said some mad character.
> And explain to me how Jenova could give birth to Sethiroth again?
> Jenova isn't even alive?
Jenova is alive? and if im not mistaken, had the cells taken out of her and made into Sephiroth.
