For those of you who have the first album, it's more like I remember when then Dreaming of you, but that hasn't cost them anything in terms of overall genius.
Their best, however, is clearly So Long Ago. It's what The Coral do best - feel good (for want of a better description), upbeat guitar songs that stick with you. I can see it becoming my favourite song by the dirty scousers.
So yeah, if you've got a tenner and you're a Coral fan, pick it up. Or even go the extra yard and spend about £13 on the special edition with the live disk included. It's all the rage, nowadays.

I've got just about every song they've ever made now anyway.
So, meh.
£30 whenever you like vs. just over £2000 whenever I like.

Ah, amazon. The place to go for imports, for me. And for bargains. I ordered Doves - last broadcast from there for about £4. It's genius, under the used and new. And if you've got money to burn, FFF, you need some Libs EPs and stuff, n00b.

Bands to look out for:
Arctic Monkeys
The Rails (I absolutely adore them)
The Mystery Jets (though they're completely different to everything)
I'll link you to some of their stuff in a minute...

I always go on Amazon for scoping out new bands - they've got loads of reviews of the CD, and the whole '... you might also like:' thing has lead me to many quality discoveries.
Having a job would:
-ruin my saturdays
-make me converse with people
-make me one of... them
-make me rich beyond my wildest dreams
-enable me to get whatever I want.
The sad thing is, it annoys me seeing people spend the money they earn on random crap that they don't really watch. I was talking about the credits on a film the other day and he went and bought the film just to look at something in the credits. Stupidity.
But I think I'll have to. I'm a crap worker, though.
but think of all the CDs and games, matteh

I'm in the boat with you. Nice to hear some old stuff. Because sometimes unveiling one band, can lead to a couple. It has for me anyway.
Problem is, band names don't Google well and everyone on here appears to be as helpful as a lead weight.
I seem to be doing the same as you both - getting all the CDs I seemed to have missed along the way, building up an epic collection. Get a job, matteh - it helps wonders. I bought 6 or 7 CDs in the last few weeks without a backwards glance.

I've not heard much of Nightfreaks, but if you liked calendars and clocks on the first album (or could stand it, even), it's probably worth getting for the standout tracks, alone, which are, upon 5th listen of the CD:
so long ago
in the morning
far from the crowd (though I'm not sure about this one)
arabian sand
But yeah, I can't afford to be picking up CDs left right and centre on my current £10 a week EMA budget. At all. Pretty gutting, really.
