Having two substituions didn't help? If it wasn't for those substitutions I don't think you would of won. Both men helped to change the game which is why you did so well in the 2nd half. If there was no injuries Rafa probably wouldn't of made those changes so early and you would of lost.

Well it is hard to score when you're defending with 10 men ;) Yes, the comeback was immense and you hit them with goals one after the other which didn't give them time to recoperate. But to play for penalties is hardly what champions do imo.
Apart from about 10 minutes.

Oh cmon, Jamie Carragher was getting cramp in places you shouldn't even be getting cramp! It's no wonder we played for penalties, every single player was knackered, and having to use two substitutions before the 2nd half didn't help (although both subs were awesome, heh.)
First half yeah, Milan outclassed us. Second half we were better. Extra time Milan had the possession, but apart from Dudek's awesome double save they hardly troubled us. I feel we deserve it simply for the unbelievable comeback.
If they stick by their rules that the top 4 should get in, then it just makes UEFA look stupid for not letting their champions challenge next year. If the FA stick to their guns, then they could get the rules changed, and five teams entered into the Champions League, or alternatively, have the four who are supposed to get in play in it and make UEFA look stupid.
The FA look good whatever happens
I don't know how the FA Cups works, but I'll assume it's the Premiership and Championship that compete for it (Or maybe it's all 4 divisions, I don't know, but assume for now it's 2).
If whoever got relegated from the Championship into the Second division (or whatever it's called), won the FA cup, they wouldn't be allowed to defend it the next year, and that's that, because those would be the rules.
The rules of the CHampions League have always beedn that it's the teams that win the League in their country (or come close), but Liverpool didn't.
I mean, what if Liverpool had by some sort of freak occurence been relegated this season, yet they still compete in the Champions League because they won it?
The rules should stay the way they are.

I don't agree with that. With any sport, you want to play at the pinnacle. Everyone knows the UEFA cup is a step down from the Champions League. It's like saying Sunderland aren't going to playing in the Premiership because they have to defend the Championship.

Yes...which is why I think Milan were the better side over the 120 minutes...
If they won the UEFA Cup and qualified for the Champions League, should they have to compete in teh UEFA Cup to defend that trophy?
It has to work both ways.
