Here I am, taking a break from revision for tomorrow's English Lit GCSE exam. My mum's prepared me a lunch box, bless her soul. I take out a jam sandwich and the dog looks at me. I tear off a corner and she eats it. Next, I eat a babybel. She's not having that. Now I'm eating some Salt & Shake crisps.

Doggie won't eat them. Not even with salt on. But when I get out the chocolate digestives, she'll be back over here like a shot.

Anyone else had experience of foods their pets don't like?

I don't have a pet. I'd like a cat.

My cat brings back food, never eats it, but just leaves it in the garden or on the doorstep. Things like bread and biscuits. One time our neighbours were having a BBQ and he managed to steal some sausages and present them to us at the door.

Also he patrols the streets victimising the young children who have crisps and he'll jump up at their legs until they give in and throw him some.

And my dog just eats grass.

Or indeed too much porking. That's how my uncle Cletus killed off half of his pigs. The rest he sold for pork. Or something.
