Oh, and anyone who feels (er-no) that I am getting stressed about GAD is I want, ney, NEED Crazy Taxi! And I've only got until 1st June until it comes out.
>Nope, I've claimed Jaws (special edition)
You`ve probably already seen Jaws loads of times, but I had a friend who hasn`t. We were trying out the special features, in particular the interactive quiz game. If you haven`t seen the movie, then don`t do this, as it gives away the ending.
I was sat there answering questions, and when they were right, it kind of spoiled it for my friend, so I thought I`d warn you just in case!
Hell, it's only £6, you guys chip in and get it, I'll review it and we can all laugh.
No way I'm wasting a free DVD on that thing.
*s*
Nope, I've claimed Jaws (special edition) and Sleepy Hollow.
Classic and wonderful films with something to offer beyond men with perms, wah-wah and nekkid man butt clips.
; )
Winning when you dont even try to or expect it is fantastic.
But you can read the posts designed for winning. Not saying it's a bad thing, but as soon as you see one, you can spot it.
It's hard to put a finger on it, but you know what I mean.
A post that takes a neutral, 3rd person viewpoint and suddenly turns into a serious piece of journalism.
That's why, I think, reviews and cheats are winning more and more. Maybe not to discourage these blatant attempts at winning, but because at least a review encourages a personal and involving post.
Hell, I won a DVD talking about porn movies and being allowed to read them when I was a kid. Wasn't an overly serious post, just got passionate about the subject and typed as I speak, with many repeated phrases and a somewhat rambling manner.
But the heart was there, not these dry and withered posts that say nothing and leave you thinking "Er...so you want a game then?"
And the traffic through the DVD section is fantastic.
Come and chat, but remember - Me and Captain Funk rule that forum.
And see how many "I would like to win a DVD please" posts you can spot.
Disgraceful
The forums are fun. If you're only here to win a game, your time may be better spent elsewhere, earning money on internet scams or something, with that you can buy games.
I have claimed 3 FREE games of SR for just posting my thoughts and opinions and along with the games I USUALLY get very good responces from people.
So I just like posting on SR.
I am not ashamed to say or cover up the fact I do get slightly hissed when I feel something I wrote did not win which that on its own does not bother me unless something that I feel is mince wins instead. Everyonw will feel like that but thats life.

You know what this deserves don't you?

Bingo.
Problem solved.
Some are good, some are moronic and beyond human understanding.
Tony posted about less people being in that forum, suddenly everyone rushes in and starts posting utter, utter drek.
That was a nice, concise and well kept little place, a few people posting with intelligent comments about movies and music...but it is rapidly turning into the FOG and the "I DONT WIN...IT'S NOT FAIR" postings.
You will win if you post something interesting.
A lot of stuff isnt, and if you dont win it's because someone did better than you that day.
Get over it.
Sorry, but this whole FAD/GAD is testing my patience now.
Shut up, post and enjoy if you win - treat it as something special and cool, not a right or a privilege.
