How do you get a link to open in a new window in Dreamweaver? It's an image if that makes it any different.

I actually think itwas dreamweaver. When I insert the code via html/script it doesn't seem to work. But when I copy the code into word pad then copy it again into dreamweaver it works. Any idea why?

Ps: By 'doesn't seem to work' I mean when you click on the link nothing happens.

Soz, I should have chosen my words more carefully.

Thanks for the offer of help Pandaemonium. I was about to post the code when I noticed a gap between a < and some words. Thats about as technical as I get. Anyway it works & that's the main thing.

Ps: I noticed a nice feature of DM. When entering Javascript you can also insert the html code if the users browser doesn't support it. Handy no?

You actually learnt something in software engineering?

I've just finished the first year and what a waste of a year it was. Still got to get that bit of paper that says I can do what I already know though.

Yep, but the head tag is HTML! You're just putting javascript into the head tags.

Doesn't the launch bit (forgive terms) go into the body and the actual script (prob gettin' that wrong to) go into the head?

The guy I knew worked for Unix (some alt os or something). He does not seem the better for the time he spent in IT.

There's no head tag in Javascript...

Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
