Going through as a fighter-spellcaster (yes they've even dumbed down 'Mage') with the aim of opening some more demon doors and taking over the main town in someway (probably at the end if I can).
I'm a little over 2 hours in and I've got some previously untried spells (early versions of summon, battle charge, beserk etc) which have influenced the fighting greatly - making it worthy of playing through again. Done a lot more thieving this time too (although I still haven't tried the rogue skills yet - archery is also being left for another time: 'Thief-Archer sounds good').
Got into the inn cellar this time, found some new books and items, stumbled on some fishing guy I never met last time around and met another guilder in the inn at night who I'd never seen before.
A nice surprising and entertaining third play through so far.
> Did anyone ever open that cheat in the guild gardens?
Yeah, I did second time round. I thought it was a decent enough item, well worth going back for.
Should be good though I really want a next gen sequel.
I was a little disappointed with the object I found in the inn cellar. Mabye it needs another search...
I opened the hit count door and what was in there was quite cool.
That's one of the few things I didn't do. I don't think I ever opened the demon door that asks you to increase your hit counter either, oh and I never got the weapon from the temple of.....evil thing (I forget the name).
Also I've tried to play as a thief-archer type of character, the thief part was easy but playing as an archer was pretty hard. I found it too tempting to just run in and fight with my axe.
I did browse a walkthrough* a few months back, and remembered this when going through this time.
*Wanted to find if the other Demon Doors were worth bothering with (the ones I didn't open first time round don't hold anything amazing, from what I can remember but I still want to open them all). :)

Ooh, how did you do that? I've played through twice and seen the cellar doors but I haven't been able to get through them.
