The new ones just don't compare.

You have much to watch, young one.

Well to be honest, I was a widdle boy when The Phantom Menace came out. Well, about 10 or 11 anyway. And I found him amusing...and so my love for him has lived on.
You can say whatever you like, I know I'm not an avid movie fan and nor do I have a website where I review films...but I really enjoyed it, as did many others obviously. It was funny (well, it had its moments), really emotional at times (Anakin leaving being the main example), it paved the way for the future episodes well (the introduction of Palpatine and how he came to power), Darth Maul was just evil personified, the Pod Race was heart-stopping and the lightsaber battles were simply amazing. And what about Liam Neeson's long luscious locks? I watched the video so often that I broke it.
I know you'll disagree, with your superior movie knowledge and all. Maybe people should just accept that it was directed toward a younger audience, which is why the 'older' generations didn't enjoy it so much. Especially after the success of the previous films...us young'uns never really experienced that.
