Not that he has dismissed the X-box, but more that he hasn't dismissed the GAMECUBE.
I find this very strange indeed, but I guess it goes to back up the thought that they are not actually in competition with each other, as each machine appeals to different types of people.
Still it's rather odd for a CEO to dismiss one competitor so strongly (as he did with Microsoft in the rest of the article, from Daily Radar) and be willing to share the market with another.

Sony do feel that they and Nintendo are marketing to different audiences (in the west anyway)...
Thats why they have such a problem with the X-Box... since its greared up to being in direct competition with Sony...
(although if it manages to corner Sonys market... Nintendo are next on the list)
