Finally bought a Playstation 2 and have no idea what games to get apart from GTA.

What games would you lot recommend?

Also, does anybody know if Crash Nitro Kart is worth getting?

Like all types of games except for fighting or wrestling games.

Are there any Zelda type games?

I love Ratchet and Clank but hated Jak. If he wants to try the first one I will let him have it for a grand sum of £00.00!

Not a bad list at all FFF.

Also take a gander at SOCOM, and make sure you have at least 1 Hawkster game in there. Devil May Cry's not bad either.

Crash is only worth getting if you need something worthwhile to melt. Bad, bad, bad. Stay away.

As for the rest, what kind of stuff do you like?
I'll give you a best-of anywayz.

* Ace Combat 4
* Ico (although you probably won't be able to find it)
* Pro Evo 4
* Hitman Contracts
* Pretty much any Jak / Ratchet and Clank if you want a superb platformer
* Disgaea
* Star Ocean 3
* Burnout 3
* Second Sight
* Prince of Persia
* GTA3
* Beyond Good and Evil

Of course, you probably will have (or bloody well should have) most of the multi-platform ones already.
That's really the cream of the crop, although I'm sure I've missed a few off. Enjoy.

Be warned, though: once you've caught up with PS2's older games, there's really not much new coming to excite for a long, long time (excluding Ace Combat 5) - so get your PS2 importing as soon as you can.

The USA gets tonnes of amazing games (mostly RPGs) that never make it over here.
