Yes, I know there's some other election happening today, but coming this time next week is the vote that can really make a difference to people's lives - UKchatforums.com Notable.
Every three months the regulars of the board vote to give one member "Notable" status. The colour of their name (which is changed to Gold) and their member title is the only difference that you'll see, but the increased fear and respect from their peers will be obvious to all.
The vote will be held on Thursday 12th May. There will be an official voting thread put up in General Chat on Thursday morning, and you'll get until midnight to place your vote. Unfortunately JATs and Newbies are unable to vote, this will be for Regulars and Notables only.
This time round, as well as your normal vote for Notable, you'll also be able to vote for someone to relinquish their Notable status and rejoin the ranks of the Regulars. Use it wisely.
So next Thursday then. Don't forget it.

I just think that the Notables aren't very "notable," at all. Well, Grix is..but, we all know I'm bias in that regard. I think Timmargh is, he makes me laugh. And, I guess SHEEPY is alright, but only because he's Grix's friend..otherwise, I say give him the boot too.
I say these things because I really haven't seen any other Notable's work their magic. Nope, nada.
On the other hand, I see many Regulars that make me laugh consistently and therefore, I think we should vote five on and five off. Just to be fair.
You know, just so the measly one regular voted up to Notable isn't alone gloating and the daft one voted down from Notable isn't alone shamed to crap. You know you would be..psh. So don't even be trying to put on all them aires.. *stars*
Show me you want it, damn you!! Or don't..I'll vote off the best Notable just for shiats and giggles, like everyone else then. You know, to make this place even more shady and dull and the kind of place that makes good people want to walk away. Maybe it's time he left anyways. I can assure you it would be so sad for this entire SR site if he did.
Oh yeah..let's just pummel eachother with our words, because we can and it's the internet where we can be anonomous cowards and badger decent people for having a mere opinion, and you're just a name and not someone human with feelings behind the name there.
So who cares. Obviously the Notables don't. So, I say vote them all down to being Regulars. We'll ALL be regulars and if you don't show up for a while, you have to be a n00b all over again and go through the hazing and get the shift kicked out of you. It's fun.
In any case, my fab five are: Flock, CandyFloss, Paradox, FFF, and Light (yeah, that dork). I would have voted for Stryke, but he left and so I REALLY want him to be a n00b again. I don't know what the hell happened to Hedfix, but for a while he was a shoe-in..now, he's just full of lame one-liners.
