...the so-called 'cream of Britain's academic crop', the people who may go on to one day run our country, or at least do very important jobs...

For some reason, be it though stupidity, lack of knowledge, incorrect teaching, whatever. Our ultra-bright, academics can't figure out the jumping off a 25 foot high bridge into 2 feet of water is going to hurt.

Back to the topic, if anyone fancies a jump into my paddling pool, just shout. It's a mere puddle.

I wonder who started that tradition. My old school in SA had a tradition where the guys would strip down, run down the road to the nearby girls school, swim a length in their pool, jump out the other end, shout "COLLEGE!!", swim back to the other end, and run back to the B.E. All done at night, of course. And you could only do it if u were in final year and a border.

All i can say is: Thank God i was never a border!
