Taken from IMDB.com

Pop star Justin Timberlake will star alongside real-life girlfriend Cameron Diaz in Shrek 3 as the voice of one of the animated characters. The singer is lending his vocal talents to the role of the young King Arthur in the fantasy feature, which also sees Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers returning to play Donkey and lovable ogre Shrek respectively. And producer Aron Warner has quashed rumors that screen beauty Diaz, who plays Princess Fiona, persuaded him to cast Timberlake - claiming the young pop star was just right for the part. He says, "Our desire was to get somebody who is visible and had their own persona to bring to the table. Justin fit the bill perfectly." Timberlake has already appeared in the cartoon franchise - in Shrek 2, a poster of "Sir Justin" on the wall of Princess Fiona's bedroom flashes across the screen.

The first film was excellent. The second was poor. The third will be dire. And I hear there'll be four.

I'd much rather they'd spend time on writing than signing big name celebrities. Or better yet, move on from Shrek and create something new. What ever happened to that Kung-Fu Panda film they were making?

Disney are far worse.

Cashing in on all time classics like The Jungle Book and Bambi by releasing sequels that aren't even fit to kiss their predecessors bunions is a crime that should be punishable by death.

Disney really disgust me with their sequel making machine. Make shoddy films if they must, make terrible TV series if they will, but for fook sake leave the classics alone.

Walt must be turning in his grave when he sees what a money hungry sham of a company Disney have become.

It has Chris Rock in which makes me want to give it a try, but I'm not too sure yet.

I've seen a bit of Father of the Pride. I love John Goodman, he always manages to bring something special to whatever he does (although he's at his best in the Coen Brothers films).

Most of the good ideas were used in the first. The second just relied on the good aspects of the original (Donkey singing, film spoofs, musical montages to lame songs or poor covers of good songs etc) strung together by a lazy plot and nothing particularly good.

I enjoyed in enough when I saw it at the cinema but couldn't help feeling it was missing something. The next time I watched it, I really didn't like it. Then watching The Incredibles made me realise exactly how bad it was. Four films is just stupid and is purely for the money.

Kids love it and that's all you need to bring in big bucks. I help my girlfriend babysit for two kids who are obsessed with Shrek 2, they can sing all the songs, quote a lot of the lines, and have the clothes and toys. While working in WH Smith I always saw kids pointing out Shrek and asking to buy it, even though they already own a copy. The irony is DreamWorks are becoming Disney. Shrek was made to mock Disney and their fairytale films (even the design of Shrek is based on some bigwig at Disney) and all their nonsense. Now by making three sequels and a spin-off they're just the same (maybe even worse).

That other Dreamworks film coming out about the animals escaping from the zoo looks quite good, forgotten the name though.

Should hopefully help to fill the gap left by the lack of Pixar this year.

The first was good, the second wasn't as good though and felt like it'd been cobbled together without much thought.

Three will be overkill, Justin Timberlake will be the final nail in the coffin for me, and I hear there's a Puss in Boots spin-off as well. :S

Shrek 2 was funny but I can't help feeling that 4 films will just be overkill.

Watched Sharks Tale the other day and it was better than expected. It tried a bit too hard to be 'cool' at times though which did kind of grate on the nerves after a while.

Ive only seen about half of the episodes of FotP, maybe I was lucky and caught the funny ones. The Simpsons is still my favourite animation, although I watched family guy for the first time last night. That was pretty entertaining.

Father of the Pride struggles to be consistently funny, some episodes are great and others are not.

Doesn't stop The Simpsons though...
