The Lighting and Thunder woke me up and 3.45am. I couldn't get back to sleep after for about a hour.

Bah! You had it lucky. We had a storm here last wednesday and the ground opened up in one place, swallowing a few people.

I mean, the power's bad enough here without lightning affecting it, the lights seem to go out on a regular basis (usually when I'm taking a shower or half way through an interesting film). Still, it's a country in the process of coping with an influx of technology (and they sell PSPs) so I'll let them off...

Still, don't think I'll stay in India longer than I have to...

It was eerie. Reminded me of the trailer of the new WotW movie where at the end you see the flashes behind the mountain as the Martians destroy stuff.

Obviously not martians here though. I didn't hear any loud "Ulla" noises...

I've seen that before.. lightning without thunder. Very weird, I've only seen it once and that was when the lightning was far out to sea, probably too far for the sound to travel.

Yesterday morning between 2am and 3am I saw literally hundreds of flashes in the sky North-East of Cardiff somewhere. There were some huge flashes, and lots of little ones, but I didn't once hear thunder...which was strange.

I wasn't even sure it was lightning to start with...because of the lack of sound.

You have insurance, right?

Apparently there was a massive thunderstorm last night about 5am, everyone except me was woken up in our house. Oh well :)

Fairly warm, and slightly overcast here. Hopefully the weather holds or we'll be having the BBQ inside, which I doubt is safe or legal.
