my dad is getting me a DS for christmas (he works in NY) but will i be able to by english games for it??? All the other gameboys worked with overseas games but will this? and is there anything else i will need?

You'll probably find a description in one of the other threads. You probably can get them from most places, Walmart or RadioShack if you're in America, or from the equivalent places in the UK.

Apparently there is no difference with this console. Will work with all region games as before. And yes, you'll probably need the step-down.
in addition is a stepdown chrger neccesary? i was gonna use batterys! can i??
