Really? That women who used to be in watchdog told me I couldn't get top-up Tv cos my box doesn't have a card slot.
That was the first thing I saw once I had set it up.
You could always rope your parents into getting Sky+, meaning you could have the old box in your room.

But you can't change the channels if anyone else is watching it. Plus you'd have to buy a new handset to be able to change channels.
You can however get a second subscription for about £12 a month that gives you access to every channel.

Just get a bloody TV Link. They also come wireless if you can't make/buy a Co-ax cable.
