Afternoon all,

Having just been shown an X850XT PE, I have decided I must have one, since my GeForce 4 ti4600 is starting to show it's age, especially at Ironforge Auction House :D

The only problem being that I currently have a Shuttle XPC, hence no room for a dual-slot Graphics card :|

So, those in the know, please could you point me in the direction of a decent, cheap case and mobo to support my current P4 2.8HT and 1Gb PC3200 RAM.

It doesn't have to be shiny with bells on, just something to house my current specs and the X850 as a Major Upgrade is on the Calendar for the end of the year or thereabouts.

Thanks

When a case says it takes 'Extended ATX' mainboards, will it also take standard ATX?

Don't want to get the wrong parts :D

I think dabs do if they sell it. Scan.co.uk do but I've heard bad things about them.

Was still looking around last night and will go for what I listed earlier - although I'm considering getting that first case you linked to and buying a PSU to go with it. Will obviously cost more, but, well, I don't know!

Does Komplett do 6 Month's finance? If not, is there an alternative, just as cheap (if not cheaper) that can offer me 6 Month's finance? It'd help out a lot and allow me to save my current cash for other things.

Just for the record. All the people with the best of computers still suffer the lag at IF.

My car should sail through it's MOT but I don't trust mechanics these days. It was serviced two months ago and had £300 spent on it. So if it does need any work I won't be too impressed! I might tax the car for a year (only got a Clio) so it won't be more than £100 to do. Get paid this friday then 22nd of May. So I might wait until May before I splash out.

Excellent - I too have car costs to think about this Month too - Tax and Insurance (thankfully no MOT for another 2 years :D )

There's always my Credit Card though...

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
