The one that incites most horror in me is Alien.

I've seen very few though, mainly because I'm terrified of them. Alien is something of a morbid fascination for me.

I consider The Shining to be the best horror film.

Not my favourite horror, but got back from watching the Amityville Horror tonight and can honestly say I've never been so scared in a cinema before. Brr. Seriously good stuff.

I read somewheer that the reason alien is so damn creepy is it has all three elements that make people uneasy.

Suffocation - The Facehugger
Bodily violation - The Chestburster
The primal fear of a monster - The adult alien obviously.
