Radeon 9800 pro 256mb
1GB DDR Ram
Amd Athlon 2600+ 1.9ghz
What I'd like to find out is, will my proccesor hold the PC back from it's full potential? (As in, the lack of 2ghz+ will hold the Graphics card back from running as good as it could be?)
Thankyou.

Yeah, it will be you FSB. I had a similar problem with the 2600XP with a couple of motherboards. Is it the K4 Ultra or K4 motherboard? They don't detect the FSB of the processor properly.
Go into the Bios and check it is running at the speed your motherboard supports. Should be either 133 or 166 for the 2600.
this stores recent calculators to save the processor repeating itself and can retrieve the information from the memory, the greater the cashe, the faster processor speed.
Athlon on have upto 512kb I believe some even have 128kb.
new processors have 1 meg or in the case of pentium extreme addition (very pricey) 2 megs
hope this helps

My 2400+ runs at 2 Ghz standard and after overclocking 2.2 Ghz.
