Just thought it would be interesting to see possible answers. I'll post the correct one fairly soon.

"You have just made a kettle of boiling water to make a cup of tea. You want the tea to cool down to drinking temerature as quick as possible. Do you put the milk in before or after the tea?

Surely the milk would warm at the same rate, no matter when you put it in?

Wouldn't putting the tea in first cause the milk to be scalded when you pour it in? So the temperature would rise dramatically?

Whereas if the milk was in first and you added the tea then it would warm the milk slowly so the temperature would drop quicker?
