I spoke about making this thread a while ago, so i thought i would give it a try. If it dies it dies!

I've always thought Val was pretty good. He never puts on a 'bad' match anyway. Really enjoyed his match with Chris Masters a few weeks back. It was a hard-hitting, brawling match but it was very fast and pacey.

Compared with JBL V Batista - hard-hitting, a brawl...but extremely slow, long-winded and inevitably dull.

This is complete guff. I have the match on my computer - the commentators seriously put Punk over, and he was allowed tons of time to work over Val's leg, far more than ordinary weekend jobbers usually get. And the match ended up being a really solid exhibition of how to work over and sell a limb, with Val doing a typically great job. Further evidence that Val deserves his spot on the roster, as he's a far better worker than many realise.

Val won the match, but with Punk still technically an independent contractor, what did you expect?

Rule of wrestling - Anything with Val Venis in doesn't constitute anything close to a "wrestling" match :-D

I remember his match when he shook hands with his opponent and then took out their knee when they turned around. I think you are right in saying it was Val Venis.

I remember CM Punk had a match with Val Venis a few months back and the commentators acted as if he were just there to fill the slot... i think Val won the match neways!

Didnt CM Punk have a match a couple of months back as a jobber?

Wherever it was the commentators were pretending they didnt know who he was.

Either this weeks or next weeks Heat looks interesting with the debut of CM Punk and Alexis Laree

Good point, i would definately have switched those matches shows and given the CW match a lot more time than 2 minutes. If you look at when i posted the message saying that the match was on it was like 12.52 and then when i posted saying about the end it was like 12.54 :( Way too short.
