"I think I'm becoming a recluse.."

I've noticed this recently. Very often I give up the excitement of going out in favour of the security I feel at the thought of staying home in my room by myself. I'm far from a social retard, I generally feel very comfortable around other people, but I just have recently been seeming to choose to stay in my own company at home rather than go out and mix with other people. It's getting stupid now, I need to deal with it before I start getting really bad and getting nervous about going out.

Any advice? Anyone ever felt similar?

I encounter this problem regularly. It's more to do with the fact that I live a good mile and a half from my friends, so getting there usually means a very tough bike ride. It can be crippling in the Winter.

I generally would rather go out than stay in, but it isn't always practical.

I do often.

For instance, I wasn't going out tonight. But now I am.

If I was feeling slightly different, I wouldn't.

Sometimes I want the security, other times I want something different.

Just depends.
