I have a problem. We used to have a P3 450mhz with a Voodoo 3 2000, probably AGP. Now I have an AMD 333mhz K6 3D-NOW! and a Voodoo 5 5000 on PCI.
Monaco 2 ran pretty smoothly on the old PC, but now, even though the Voodoo 5 is better, I don't think it looks as good. I am also unimpressed with the Windows "3D Text" screensaver. I estimate about 25 fps - not good.
My mum has a P3 1ghz and a GeForce 2 AGP. The bloke at PC World said the Voodoo was better than GeForce, but I am not convinced. I am jealous that mum's PC runs games and 3D Text better than mine. The desktop also has a noticably higher framerate.
Can someone explain to me why this is? Is my card faulty? Do I need a better processor?

Go with the Duron, thats a damn good price!
Ask the people in the shop if it will fit, a socket A, on your motherboard.
If the processor is that cheap then get some more RAM, I highly reccomend it!

SR don't sell CPUs. I checked. I know somewhere though.
Are you sure an athlon will fit on my motherboard? I don't want to buy one and find out it doesn't work.

The only athlons they sell are thunderbirds, and they're too expensive. They sell an K6 500mhz for £33.

SR decided to turn MIST into the FOG (CHATTER) ROOM, which is there for pointless topics and chat basically. Hence that, leaving the FOG (PRIME TOPIC) FORUM to be left for longer topics and less chat.

I'm not sure if I like the spilt of the FOG.
