After doing 1 year of a 3 year course I've decided it isn't for me. I decided a few months ago to stick the course out for a year just to get whetever you get for a year.

But..

My friend said that he don't think I'd get anything for doing just a year. Is this true or does it depend on the course and University?

If it is true I may as well leave now and work for a bit, rather than keep going to uni for nothing.

What free gift did I miss today?

Got back from a long shift, so I have a right to be grumpy and read loads of crap for an hour or two.

Well I'm usually sarcastic/grumpy. So that's how you come across.

It could have been sarcastic. Depends how you feel when it's read.

Usually grades aren't even counted in the first year.

Did I give up too easily on leaving the police after a year-and-a-half because I found it wasn't for me and was making me miserable?

What you don't know is that she wanted to quit quite a while ago because deep down she knew it wasn't right for her at this time, but she decided to try and stick at it in case her feelings on it changed. I think I knew they never were going to, but I give her credit for trying, but even more credit for having the balls to admit it's not for her rather then just scraping through the next two and a bit years just to please her Mum.

Yeah, well done on that.
