I've done it, after about 6/7 hours of gameplay...and I don't think I died more than 10 times on normal (straight to legendary for the real game, methinks) - what a breeze. Only had about 4 "sessions" too. The fighting on Earth bits were practically non-existant, and the level from the E3 demo is completely different - much less fun than that one looked. Hated the pointless flying aliens, but they seemed a bit tacked on anyway.

Most of the levels seemed identical to the first game, and to each other in general. Flood - again! Why, why, why? Everyone hated them in the first game! Seymour's cameo from Little Shop of Horrors was cool though - "Feed MEEEEEE!". The ending was crap too, they didn't even finish the battle. Master Chief rides an "Ark" to Earth, there's a massive space battle, "I've come to F1N15H 1T!!!311", then it cuts straight to the credits! You get a small bit of Cortana and Seymour after the credits (yes, I'm that sad that I waited), and they've blatantly left it open for a third game.

All in all, it's a very, very good game, but it lacked the replay value of the first one. I'll probably use Halo 1 for single player, and Halo 2 for multiplayer. None of the levels were as fun as the beach one, or the snow ones from Halo 1 - and people complained about level design back then!

And how did the Sergeant and the Arbiter get off the Halo in the first game? I assume they're the same people from the special Legendary ending? That part of the story was quite interesting...shame the rest was about as fun as washing dishes.

Cyclone...Halo 2 really is that short and it does not revolutionalise on Halo 1...more that it builds on it, adding some new things and vastly updated visuals.

Don't get me wrong, I like Halo 2, its just that it was a very short game.

I liked the ability to board different vehicles and I thought the destructible scenery was quite good however it lacked an ending and some polish that Halo 1 had. (The 'making of' documentary on the limited metal edition showed they lacked time)

I was unhappy that the E3 demo was toned down - that looked much more fun, and I also thought the addition of multiplayer bots would have enhanced the multiplayer experience.

All in all the single player/co-op of Halo 2 was very shortlived with none of the replay value of Halo 1 (to gain those all important shields)

Halo 2 was good but was happy to be good and not amazing....I was expecting much more from it after playing the first Halo.

Halo 2 is still a must have game, although the story was quite weak, there was a lot of cinematics with very high quality graphics...and I son't think its fair to criticise the new enemies - they were good.

Halo 2 lacks polish and replayability but surpasses the first game in many ways.

Just buy it fools.

It did seem rather short, Halo1 lasted for ages and when I did reach the end, it really felt like I done something to get there + I loved the way it ended. But halo2 has lasted just 4 days playing on and off, and I was really suprised when the game ended where it did, and then a bit of a rubbish ending I suddenly felt short changed. But hey it least we know that the next one will be on earth (i get the feeling that earth is the key to unlock the rings power!).

No, it really isn't. F**king Pikmin is short, not Halo 2.

The E3 demo looked pretty much as the game was........I don't get this argument......?!

Yes it does. It's fun.

Your problem. I disliked Halo 1, and love Halo 2. I guess I win.

No, it has loads of both. Just a few bits missing.

Yeah, tis a bit short, i finished it thinking the last level would be as master chief as it looked like a good cut scene, but then nothing but credits! Frankly i'm very dissapointed, here's my rant on what's missing that was 'promised' n my general naggles!

-Decent mele attack combos??? I like clowting things up close :(
-Sprinting??
-Peeking round corners??
-bots?? :(
-The ability to blow pot-holes in the ground to fight from??
-15 levels! Here's the good one, the first 2 'levels' are just cut scenes, and what you think stages are, are cut up into more levels! Separate levels equal about 8-9 can't remember now! Grrr!
-Improved graphics - yes, but please fix the pop up and loading graphics bugs throughout! -they get worse on higher difficulty levels, with increased bad guys!
-Heroic, is a respectable level of hardness, i've had no real trouble, but ledendary, seems a bit of a cop-out, just putting dual-wielding white elites everywhere, just to make it harder!
-Oh yeah and story, try not to steal half of it from Brute Force - i'm sure it's copywrited!

-However i do want a spin-off with Johnson:) We know what the lady likes!

Anyhew, getting live this week, so hopefully that will make up for a bit of it! PS- are the graphic pop-ups as annoying on multiplayer, i haven't got chance to check it out yet?

Just finished 'Gravemind' trying not to finish it too quickly because pretty sure I only have two more levels to go.

+ the different types of warthogs were missing and the quadbike thing (that looked well cool!). Will we ever see a flamethrower in halo, they keep going on about them but ehere is it? The graphics bugs are well annoying (riddic didnt do this) with all the extra time they had you would have sorted that out. If the xbox couldnt handle it properly then they shouldnt have put so much in.
