Most of the levels seemed identical to the first game, and to each other in general. Flood - again! Why, why, why? Everyone hated them in the first game! Seymour's cameo from Little Shop of Horrors was cool though - "Feed MEEEEEE!". The ending was crap too, they didn't even finish the battle. Master Chief rides an "Ark" to Earth, there's a massive space battle, "I've come to F1N15H 1T!!!311", then it cuts straight to the credits! You get a small bit of Cortana and Seymour after the credits (yes, I'm that sad that I waited), and they've blatantly left it open for a third game.
All in all, it's a very, very good game, but it lacked the replay value of the first one. I'll probably use Halo 1 for single player, and Halo 2 for multiplayer. None of the levels were as fun as the beach one, or the snow ones from Halo 1 - and people complained about level design back then!
And how did the Sergeant and the Arbiter get off the Halo in the first game? I assume they're the same people from the special Legendary ending? That part of the story was quite interesting...shame the rest was about as fun as washing dishes.

And also, the storyline. Halo 2 seems to be like a bridge to a third encounter in the same way that Reloaded was a bridge to Revolutions.
The multiplayer is great though, so that'll keep me busy. The game as a whole isn't as superb as I was hoping, but like you say, m_m, it's far better than most FPS', and one of the best on this generation of consoles.

The Legendary ending was just a small bit on the side for those who completed it... in the books it says that the Sarge was picked up by MC via escape pods. The Arbiter was the guy in charge of the fleet on Halo, hence he probably was looking over it when it was destroyed behind some obscure moon or whatever.
The story requires muchos concentration, and is badly told in places. But I'm going through again to figure it out. Plus, the game is waaaay harder than Halo 1, especially on the highest two levels - the difference is noticable.
It kicks Halo 1 to pieces though. The Earth levels and Delta Halo etc will be much replayed by me. Halo 1 is just rubbish now, I'm sorry, but I didn't enjoy it much before and now it's just awful - the beach level and the 'snow' one in particular are just boring now.
