And I've been meaning to buy some carbon sticks since forever :P
Carbon sticks are incredible, I'd say they offer the least weight whilst being the most durable. I've never had my pair break or known anyone who has broken a pair playing.
If I had spent that much on my kit, it would have become a new one :-)
And sticks too.
They keep breaking :(
As far as I know, it's one of the more expensive intruments to learn. Besides like, a cello, which costs about £1500, but still.
It really isn't funny now.
No matter how hard I tell myself : "It's cheap. It's gonna be naff", I never listen.
(apart from my current cymbals (-Ride) which have generally cost alot)

Ah, yes, they have fallen. Though all of my drums have a bottom skin!
