Just before I start I am not complaining, no wait maybe I am. This is NOT a twisted and bitter complaint because I feel hard done by because I have not won GAD. Why do cheats win GAD. Ooops slip of the tongue, I meant the cheat entries not the people themselves, honest. Surely this is not right and makes no sense at all.

Some people try really hard in making their posts in these discussion forums really interesting in the hope that they might win GAD. Also sometimes people write a really brilliant and entertaining post which is really deserving of winning and instead a cheat entry wins the competition.

I am not saying that the cheats that win are rubbish, some are quite good but just how hard is it to put up these cheats? Most, if not all of the cheats posted have probably come out of a magazine or site on the net. This means that there is no effort involved in winning GAD with cheat entries, its just a simple matter of writing them down or cutting and pasting.

I mean its not as if the people who enter and win with cheats have actually made of found these cheats themselves because to do this you would most likely had to programme the cheats in yourselves, hands up who works for a multi-national games developer. Hmmmmm thought so. If I am wrong and you do make these cheats up yourself, (cough snigger cough) then I am sorry.

Right thats enough I think, don't want to upset anyone.

I noticed that this topic was made after I recently won Gameaday for those Doom and Hexen cheats.

I do agree that it's wrong for people to win for posting cheats but only if they win for posting cheats which don't work, or if they only post one or two (I posted sixty-one the day I won) or if they post ones that were already on there.

I can see why people think it's wrong for anyone to post cheats and win, but this very rarely happens! Ok, you'll probably find nine or ten winners on the gameaday winners list who have won for posting cheats, but that's only ten percent!

Those who post reviews could be rewording someone elses work or copying from a magazine. Some people don't have very good writing skills, maybe they're no good at describing what they see, or maybe they just can't think what to write, so posting cheats is their only way to have a chance of winning.

I'm not saying that in my own defense because I won, I've won four times before the latest already for other things, and I'm glad I won again because it means I've got a guaranteed Gameboy Advance game!

I know why Special Reserve allow you to win through posting cheats. It's because it keeps people interested in the gameaday site, which advertises the company Special Reserve itself, which means that although Special Reserve are spending some of their proftis giving away 365 games every year, they are actually increasing their percentage profits by keeping customers with them who buy more games.

In UKCheats, who posts the cheats that are said to be posted by "-"?

People rapidly are adding cheas for hope of greater chances of winning GAD. However, while people are cutting and pasting these cheats from oter sites, do they every try them? Do they even have the game in question?

I say this because i recently looked at the cheats list for Dead Or Alive 2 (PS2) and there is a cheat for "Unlimited Lives". Anyone who has played the game would surly know that there are no lives in the game, there are "Continues" and not only that, you already have unlimited of them!

Though im sure the moderators here check these cheats before giving awards, i dont like the idea of people just putting in cheats as fast as possible in hope that they can win. Thats my opinion anyway.

I asked about this in the customer service section. They said there had been a problem with the e-mail address at filmaday, and that I may want to claim again. (Was your claim in the last 15 days? If so it may be included in this batch)

That would be a much better idea.. every 20 cheats you submit (theat SR approve) gets a free bumper sticker!

YEAH! A POKEMON IS FOR LIFE AND NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS!
