The GC had the advantage of a new console to show, and some new titles. X-box tried that too, but made a less big impression. In all this, it was forgotten who was really showing the true power.
I actually got fed up of reading about E3, as it was clear nobody had "won". Anyway, I saw an interesting article in the IGN newsletter, and decided to give it a read. After finishing it, I was left thinking that it must have been in the PS2 section, as there was clearly a large amount of respect for it. However, I looked left, and saw the large green/black colour stripes of the X-box, and realised I was in the X-box news area.
Take a look here at one of the most honest reports I`ve ever read. This writer had the guts to criticise his own favoured console, (the x-box) not just the other.

Only if you can afford all three, and, be honest, how many of us can? I know i want to! I'd love to be able to by all three, but i cant, and so i have to pay attention and work out which one is best for me.
Isnt that the whole point of these shows? To see what will be on offer and start to think about which one we will spend out hard earned on?
I haven't read much about E3, all I really know about it is from what I read on this forum, so I haven't really got the clearer picture. Some said PS2 dominated, some Gamecube and some Xbox. Can't we just sit back and enjoy what all of the consoles have to offer. I mean, after all, they give us games to play, and there are bound to be brilliant and superb ones (and judging from what I have read in this forum, there are a lot of good games to look forward to from all consoles).
Whoever won the show depends on what type of game interests you.
The writer claimed the Nintendo games were just tarted up old franchises from the N64 and then went onto rave about GT3, MGS2 and Final Fantasy 10 (which are the PS2 equivilants.)
That was more or less the only flaw I could find in his argument.
It showed that it wasn't that the PS2 held a better show, it was that the PS2 showed him what he wanted to see.
In the same way I saw what I wanted on the Gamecube so that sort of stole the show for me.

I want to be Happy, but I'm too Sleepy, and feel a bit Grumpy.
And don't get me started on the '7-up jokes...
Oops... this is the 'Prime Topics' thread... sorry Mr Tony, sir.
Wookiee, these are family forums, you can't mention that sort of thing on here!
Also, if it has two ^ things in it, go to the doctors. I know someone that had to of ^ and it nearly went septic.

En guarde, Scouser! The mask is an improvement! Is that a sword in your pocket, or are you just... no, never mind.
I haven't been drinking for quite some time, unfortunately!
