Might have been funny if I was drunk whilst watching it. Hardly a Braindead/Badtaste or even as funny as an episode of Spaced.
A real letdown.

Yeah, fitting a romantic comedy to a tee. Mrs Pandaemonium loves it, and she's got a dislike of zombie movies.
But it's still an excellent film.
I liked it more after watching it twice, by the by.
I'm a firm believer that if you're going to do black comedy and twisted gory comedy you should push the envelope as much as possible.
Your average South Park episode takes more extreme comedic risks than this movie.

Guest House Paradiso was atrocious, plus Mayall and Edmonson aren't writing together anymore.
personally, i enjoyed Shaun of the Dead. I like Edgar Wrights style of direction and his crash-zoom happy ways. I feel you've been a tad harsh on it for simply not being what you expected.
