Finally got around to seeing it.

Awful.

Might have been funny if I was drunk whilst watching it. Hardly a Braindead/Badtaste or even as funny as an episode of Spaced.

A real letdown.

Seen MBD and Delicatessen.

Obviously I have been spoiled by better films because SOTD seemed naff.

I really need to watch Dr. Strangelove. I believe there's a special edition DVD out now or soon...

Think I'll add it to the rental list.

It's great.

Hedfix, do you have a soul? Just that you seem to complain about everything like some petulant little child.

I got this for Christmas and I STILL haven't seen it. To much to do, too little time etc.

About ten of us rented it out about a month ago, seemed quite fry in places IMHO. But did seem to get funnier after everyone had a drink or five. Strange that.

All of which are utterly, stultifyingly superb.

That said, Man Bites Dog...the "morning after the night before" scene made me hate myself for having laughed along with the film before that point. It's a VERY difficult film to get to the end of.

Yet still not as bad as Funny Games. I've yet to watch that all the way through...

I see things like Rules of Attraction and Fargo as black.

depends on what yo consider a comedic risk.
there are plenty of moments in SOTD that would have been rubbish if the timing was slightly off or the camera usage was different.
there's a difference between good comedy writing and just adding as many massively offensive things as you can.
personally, i appreciate both schools of thought :)
