I know its stupid to ask but I don't actually know which is better and kinda tell me why its better.

The N64 was a truely legendary console. I have over 200 games for it, all in a good state. : )

I agree with FM. Pretty much couldn't live without any of my consoles...

...that said, I'm still finding it difficult to decide whether to part with my Saturn or N64 either...

Well it still makes a lot more sense than whatever you just wrote.

In my opinion, PS2 is the best console.

However, I am biased on many levels, I own only a PS2, and I'm a huge fan of RPGs so the PS2 is the obvious choice.

See, I've considered buying the XBox for Halo 2; Abe's Oddworld; and Live!; but coming to think of it, what does it have that a decent PC doesn't? Nothing.

PC is undoubtably the best platform for first person shooters, aswell as online play. That and Half-Life 2 kicking Halo everywhich-way 'til Sunday.

Asfar as the GC is concerned, it's only real bonus points are the Zelda series, and the fact I'm a secret Ninty fan (it's a fairycake!), since N64s. So really it's not worth spending £100 on a console for a single game.

In my opion, anyway. I know a lot of you people do buy consoles for a single game.

So yeah. PS2 has undoubtable the most varied range of games, though not the most innovative or original, as well as being the best console for RPGs.

Had a N64, which was way better then the Playstation. Became a big Nintendo fan and bought the Gamecube when it first come out. Most of the games were disapointing and did not live up to what I expected.

Just bought a PS2 2 weeks ago and realised how the Nintendo have gone downhill in the quality of games. GTA: San Andreas is great and just purchased Pro Evo 4 which is better than the Fifa games.

I'd say Playstation 2 is the best out of the two and I've never played on the X-Box.

The GC has gone mad. Its probably the worst Ninty console. I have one and like it but they seem to be pulling at popular games and hoping that is enough to grab the whole gaming world eg RE4. But what for the rest of the time? The are lacking a wide range of titles to please everyone. It is for this reason that I now think that the PS2 is the best console, despite it having poorer graphics. The gameplay is generally better and there is more variety of games. If the GC was used to its potential then it would be the best console as it is best engineered, but its just not pushed enough. Brining out games like RE4 and FF ports wont attract enough people. I will be getting them as I have a GC but for the majority of people they just wont bother. SO no GC wont have the best lineup of games even if FF comes out. Thats just the way its become and for this they are now losing against PS2 and XB.
