THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. A big thank you to those that took time to enter. A winner will be announced soon. Watch this space...
*********************
STILL WATCHING? THE WINNER IS Meka_Dragon with his ukanniversary.co.uk suggestion. Congratulations! The prize will be on its way to you.
Once again thanks to all who took part and look out for more competitions!
*********************
We'll run this one over the next two weeks. Somebody might need to prod me in two weeks time to choose the winner.
I would like you to go to http://Topaddress.com.
There's a link in the left side strip if you need to go back and forth.
There you will find our lovely selection of domain names.
Pick a domain or some domains which you think would be good for a nice profitable enterprise, and describe what you would do with them if you were an entrepreneur.
The single best entry will win an Extra Gameaday prize.
You can enter as many times as you like.
IMPORTANT
1. Try to get Unique Selling Points into your plan!
2. Work out why you think it would make money.
3 .State clearly how long it would take and what the difficulties would be.
I've no idea how this will go, but good luck.
And NO, we are not likely to use the winning entry, this is just the stuff of financial fantasy.
> Last entries now please - competition ends on Wednesday.
Take it it's ended now then :-) When are we gonna know the winner?
f1drivers.co.uk
The initial set up, finding sponsors et al, would be about 2 months to ensure enough sponsors existed. Then it would depend on how quickly drivers got the information and started to use the site, I'd give that about another month with good advertising. Eventually the money would start to roll in from the drivers getting places with teams, but that all depends on when this happens. Still, money would be made almost immediately from sponsors anyway.
www.thepress.org.uk
Again, a couple of months for the sponsorship setup and then another month to get enough people on to the site via advertising (in the press and through speaking to people on the net) The money would be coming in from the start from the sponsors, but some would need to be set aside for the prizes.
Ever wanted to be a journalist? Wanted to be like Clark Kent, reporting on all the top stories? Well this site might just get you the chance to get a foot in the door.
thepress.org.uk lets you report on any story, in different sections like Current Affairs, Sport, Technology. Just write a story, including any references to sources and post it on the site. The top stories of the week will be highlighted and win a subscription to a magazine from a wide choice.
Not only this, but the national press will be sponsoring the site and will be involved in looking closely at the entries for any potential new recruits. The writers will all have a chance to enter their details if they are interested in getting a job and specify in what sector of the press they'd like to work for (newspapers or magazines) so that there will be a great chance that posters with a lot of skill will be picked for an interview or work experience in the industry.
The National Press would also provide tips and tricks to the industry on how to get on and how to become a good journalist.
Of course, the advertising and sponsorship from national newspapers and magazines will pay for the site, competitions and also give the website a profit should it become successful and it will also provide a much needed service, not only to those looking for a job, but for people who want to keep up with the latest news from different perspectives and those that want to get advice from industry insiders.
The art of Formula 1 Motor racing has always been strong with the British. It is also unfortunately hard to get into and to get sponsorship for as well.
My website would start by raising money from sponsors, showing their banners on the site in order to recruit new driving talent on the racetrack.
The next step would be to advertise the website at all racing events, formula 3000, karts and suchlike, so that racing managers and drivers themselves could write in to the message boards and offer themselves as potential drivers. Our people would then contact the various race managers from Formula 1 teams, from Williams and McLaren to Arrows, and then set up a meeting to showcase the driver's talents.
Hopefully this could mean that we can keep finding British talented drivers for years to come and also make some money in the process by asking for a small upfront fee fo the search and then a percentage fee of the drivers first salary if the driver becomes successful in getting a position at one of the F1 teams (and it could branch out to include mechanics, designers and test drivers too) that way it could make money without the drivers taking too much risk.
The downfall would be if F1 teams didn't want to use the service (although they'd have nothing to lose an everything to gain from it) and the success could be limitless, with all the F1 teams eventually using the site!
Imagine the Embarrasment of the visitors, especially those in an office or college... ;)

www.wrestlingmerchandise.co.uk, and have its topic directly the
opposite as to what it actually would be.
i mean, i know it will
annoy some people, but i think it will make a majority of people to
have a laugh!
to give it a good presentation, i would go to
http://www.koolmoves.com/ and get this software in which you can
use to create your own Flash Player presentations!
i would then
put a background theme-tune that totally does NOT go with my
website! i would have the following menus:
jokes, wresting
merchandise(not really), cartoons, the Rock in the pants, kane
cold, create-a-stickman, jammie arena, vicious merchandise.
it
will be the funniest site ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(think about it!)
