Having had the news on all evening and just occassionally listening i was shocked to learn the legal time frame was 24 weeks. Now anyone who knows me will know i'm fully supportive of the right to it but 24 weeks, come on thats just short of 6 months.
I'd always believed it was set around 12, i think 16 is pushing it but 24, thats way beyond humane and absolutely wrong, if you're going to get it done you should at least do the right thing and do it before the baby is developed.
Your opinions please
I think many girls forget that blokes do have paternal feelings.

I've no idea, i would certainly hope so

I agree, and as a guy i know that i can argue my case til i'm blue in the face but i know in the end it has to be the womans choice, i can't say i like it but thats the way it has to be. But as you're a woman i'll say this, you have to accept you're killing someone elses baby, i really think thats forgotten, you've already said you know people who do it quite nonchalantly.
But as a woman, I don't see how any man can make me go through birth, or even abortion if I wasn't happy about it.

I'd be really interested on where the guys stand on this when there is a disagreement, it might be an ideal that we have rights but in truth do we and should we have?

I dont know at what point a baby could breathe on it's own, it's certainly before it's born but up until then it's not needed. I know that wouldn't ease my conscience, it may not be classes as a human being but if you've seen the recent scan pictures taken at i think 12 weeks you'll know that it's human whether it's classes as one or not, if you go by that rule you could abort at any stage up to full term.

I dont know but at some point you have to decide that it is human and is protected, i can't say i'm a fan of abortion but i stand by the right to it.
This comes down to your own morality, when do you believe it's no longer just a bunch of cells?
