According to Nintendo.com they said they got a "overwhelmingly positive response" from all those lucky people who went to E3 More than 62,000 in fact! So what is it is it $150 as we all prayed for or $299 which we all feared?
$199.98 is the suggested retail price and for those of you who doesn't know what that means in our currency then it is probably £199!
Oh my giddy aunt the big N has now retailed their console 3 days (72 hours) befor the X-box and a remarkable $100 cheaper! I know who I'm putting my money on but with the promised Playstation 2 price reduction of 50 quid Nintendo will only be 50 quid cheaper! You could still get yourself a game with that but it isn't as big as we all thought.
The games industry is hotting up but instead of being Skeptical lets let Nintendo have their moment ot shine because this round has only just started.
Here's to the future
Dringo
GAMECUBE/EUROPE LAUNCH: £159.99
This is so that every person who buys a GC in Europe can afford a game and still keep below the £200 price tag....
...now maybe I should stop leaking information.
$199.99 = £199.99
Although PC game prices dont suffer this shortfall... Consoles games & machines tend to suffer this simplistic price transferral...
However... Are Nintendo not marketing their machine at a younger audience than MS?
Even though they may not be percieved as a 'younger' players game machine in the East... it seems to be the Trend of Nintendo American, especially to advertise more diercetly to the pre teen-teen market... stopping a little short of the twenty something + market... which is exactly where the X-Box is after...?

Isn't it nearer £140?
By the time the GC comes out, the PS2 will have dropped to £199 as well. The X-Box won't be so competetivly priced then...
