if you look at the stats gudjohnsons strike rate is quite crap.

Crespo got more goals than him last season even though gudjonhson played more games.

In 149 league games for chelsea he has only 48 league goals.

I don't think so, it was Jose wasn't it 'cause it happened after Ranieri left didn't it?

Did Ranieri put Crespo on loan?

I still think Chelsea's best striker is Gudjohnsson. Has been for quite a few years, his and Hasselbaink's partnership was quality, better than any Mutu and Crespo partnership.

Aye, and it seems as though there is no clause stopping Crespo from playing against Chelsea in the CL.

Still think the Crespo/Mutu partnership could have been genius.

Chelsea's only world class striker is on loan at Ac milan.

Yep, I see it in a similar way. I'm sure I'm not the only one who tends to find themselves supporting a team anyway, regardless who's playing. In Spain I follow Real Madrid, but if I were watching a match between, say, Sevilla and Deportivo, I'd still end up rooting for one of them.

Exactly. When you're watching a match and you care nothing for either of the teams it can make the game totally boring. Thats why people watching from the outside will always claim "thier" league to be better.

Personally find the Italian/Spanish leagues a little more entertaining because recently they have had a variety of clubs winning the league. Lazio, Roma, Juve and Milan have all won the league in the last few years, while Spain have had Deportivo, Barcelona, Real and Valencia win it in recent years.

Serie A might even go to a playoff for the title this year as juve and Milan are tightly locked together.

Chelsea are starting to shake it up now though in England.
