I'd say that the 1st one has better gore effects despite the lower budget. But the 2nd is funner I think. Haven't seen the 3rd one yet.
Evil Dead 2 is one of the funniest black comedies ever created.
The bit where Ash is sat there on his own in a rocking chair, screaming like a little girl, seemingly gone completely mad, is cinematic genius. As is the bit where he's strangling himself.
I hope Sam Raimi gets his head together and stops making soppy tales about spidergimps and pretentious red-headed bints, and goes back to making ground-breaking stuff.

Absolutely mental film, genuinely scary too (especially Bruce's haircut). The make-up and effects are fantastic, the deadite girls are terrifying ("Queen of Clubs, Three of Hearts, JACK OF SPADES!") and the tree-rape bit is actually a bit disturbing.

The bit where the girl's stabbed in the ankle with the pencil makes me squirm everytime.
Oh yeah that was that banned film was'nt it. I was hiding behind my sofa the whole time. And got weird dreams afterwards. I've got to stop watching these adult films it really is'nt good for my thirteen year old self.
