"Help on Computer Games Design"

If I pass all my A levels I hope to be going to uni to start a Computer Science Games Development course and I was wondering has anyone else done this course before or currently doing this course, and if you are could you give me some pointers in what it will involve? Also I haven't really made any games beofore e.g. and flash games on the internet and does anyone know where I could learn or if theres any good books as any help would be nice, Thanks.

I'm going in for a Games Computing course at Lincoln Uni in September.

Depends on the uni. Is it a programming course mainly or does it have the naffy design parts too, where you get to play with Editors and suchlike? Read the syllabus.

Spikecast is doing something like that. Ask him. He's usually found outside schools and playgrounds.

I suggest you find out what programming languages will be involved within your course and start learning it yourself. Having a certain amount of knowledge about a subject before learning it properly is always an advantage.
